Lord Destra represents the civilization that has offered Archmore an opportunity humanity could not provide.
She possesses access to technology far beyond Earth's capabilities and oversees the Benefactors' involvement in the project. To Archmore, Destra is simultaneously employer, ally, and the ultimate authority behind an arrangement whose boundaries are still being defined.
The Benefactors call the project cooperation.
Archmore is still learning what that means.

Maree oversees communications, portal integration, and internal systems for the project.
Precise and technically capable, she works at the intersection of human infrastructure and technology Earth is only beginning to understand. As the facility takes shape, Maree becomes one of the people Archmore increasingly depends upon to understand how its interconnected systems actually work.
RANDOLF BLOOM
Scientist. Pioneer.
Randolf Bloom accomplished something scientists had theorized about for generations.
In 2062, Bloom Energy opened Earth's first confirmed artificial spatial aperture. A second followed in 2063—but its instability brought further testing to a halt.
When Archmore encounters something that conventional science can't adequately explain, Bloom becomes impossible to ignore.
